What activities can I enjoy on my "rest days"?

For guests who would like to visit local attractions (including Muslim, Christian, Sikh and Hindu places of worship plus the Golf Club) on cross country skis or snow-shoes, Ski Himalaya can arrange equipment and a personal tour for you with local history guru (and expert golfer!) Mr Feroz.

Other winter activities include skating on Gulmarg's new ice-rink (skates can be hired from the government shop) or taking a guided five kilometre tobaggan ride down the Pony Trail to Tangmarg, the nearest township.

It is possible to visit Srinagar as a day trip from Gulmarg, but as there are no taxis located at Gulmarg, taxi bookings should be made the previous day to ensure an early departure from Gulmarg.
