What about alcohol - can I buy a beer in Gulmarg?

This coming winter alcohol will be available, by special arrangement, for SkiHimalaya's guests at both Hotel Pine Palace and Hotel Hilltop. India produces excellent Pilsner style beers - the most popular being Kingfisher, which will be available to our guests next winter. If there is sufficient demand from our guests, SkiHimalaya will ship to Gulmarg a (modest) supply of fine red and white wines from Australia's Mudgee district in advance of the 2005-2006 winter.

Until now, alcohol availability at Gulmarg has largely been restricted to the public bar of Hotel Highlands Park.
