On their homeward journey, we recommend
guests spend at least one night in Srinagar to avoid
any risk of delays in travelling down from Gulmarg in
poor weather.
Our recommendation for lodging at Srinagar
is the wonderful hospitality, and affordable luxury,
of the Butt Family's Clermont Houseboats. The five houseboats
contain only nine guest rooms, limiting the number of
guests we can accommodate there at any one time. Please
book early to secure bookings at this truly unique establishment.
Hotel style lodging for our other guests
in Srinagar is the brand new Grand Mumtaz located at
a prime site on Srinagar's Broadway, particularly convenient
for shopping for handicrafts and clothing in the city
centre.
