Mountain Map
Our mountain map is based on satellite
images kindly made available to us by NASA. We have
doubled the vertical effect of NASA’s original
images to provide a better overview of Gulmarg’s
topography.
The map is NOT intended as a navigational
aid.
Altitudes and distances are estimates.
Riding terrain indicated by dotted
red lines involves increased level of risks of avalanche
on higher alpine slopes and of disorientation on lower
forested slopes.
Kashmir Powdercats are currently
accepting bookings for our unique guiding and local
transport services. Riders wishing to explore Gulmarg
with us should bear in mind that places are strictly
limited – we expect to be fully booked well in
advance of winter 2005-2006. We are happy to receive
advance expressions of interest for winter 2006-2007
if you are unable to join us next winter.
